Eric Clapton - Awards




















YearAward / Recognition
1983

  • Presented the Silver Clef Award from Princess
    Michael of Kent for outstanding contribution to British music.

1993

  • "Tears In Heaven" won three Grammy awards for Song of the Year,
    Record of the Year and Male Pop Vocal Performance.

1994

  • Awarded the Order of
    the British Empire for services to music.

2000

  • Inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the third time,
    this time as a solo artist. He was earlier inducted as a member of the
    bands Cream and The Yardbirds.

2004

  • Promoted to CBE, receiving the award
    from the Princess
    Royal at Buckingham Palace as part of the New Year's Honours
    list.
